Mempool Monitor:
One of the most attention-grabbing screens on the CDDStamp platform is the Mempool Monitor. Before explaining the screen, it's important to clarify what the mempool is.
Mempool: Before giving a brief explanation, let’s first describe the part of the BTC Blockchain that relates to the mempool. Bitcoin nodes are responsible for recording and confirming transactions on the Blockchain. They do this by validating transactions through consensus. Before the transactions in each block are included in the Blockchain, they are temporarily held in a pool called the Mempool. Until the block that will include these transactions is confirmed, the transactions remain uncompleted. The mempool is a dynamic structure where records are rapidly updated, with confirmed transactions being removed and new orders entering the pool. Once the block is confirmed, the transactions that make up the block are removed from the mempool and become part of the permanent Blockchain.
After briefly explaining the mempool, we can move on to what the Mempool Monitor is. The Mempool Monitor is a screen that dynamically displays transactions that have been initiated but not yet confirmed, meaning they are still unconfirmed, as we explained earlier. It shows transactions that are either outside the norm or meet predefined criteria in real-time.
You can see the example Mempool Monitor screen below
The fields and their descriptions in this table are as follows:
Date/Time: This is the date and time when the transfer entered the mempool.
Confirmed: This shows the status of the transaction. If there is a block number listed, it means the transaction has been confirmed and shows the block number where it was included, with no row highlighting. If "Waiting" is shown, it indicates that the transaction is still unconfirmed and remains in the mempool. Although not shown in the example, you may also see the "Failed" status, which means the transaction failed for some reason, and the row will be highlighted in red.
Origin: This shows the wallet group from which the transfer originated.
Value: The amount of BTC transferred.
Destination: This shows the wallet or wallet group to which the transfer is directed.
CDD: The calculated CDD value that will be generated if the transaction is completed.
By clicking on any of the transaction rows in the list, you can access the detailed view, as shown in the two examples below.
By clicking on the transaction rows in the list, you can access the detailed view, as shown below. As you can see in the examples, you can also access the details of transactions that are still unconfirmed. In the detailed view, you will find the wallet addresses that sent and received the BTC, along with their corresponding wallet labels.
If you wish to see more information, you can click on the wallets to access the detailed view of each wallet, as shown below.
